Sheikh Hamad is a ruling family member and a businessman with interests and expertise in diverse fields and sectors. He began his career in banking at QNB in 2014 working in international credit. In 2017, he joined the investment department at Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) as Senior Vice Chairman. During his time at QIC, he established an asset management company, with an AUM of c. USD 7 billion. His achievements also include negating a tax exemption for the asset management industry and establishing the first QFCRA-regulated fund.
Sheikh Hamad obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in 2013 and a master's degree in strategic business Unit Management from HEC Paris in 2020.
The Sheikh was a previous board member of Al Jazeera Finance, from 2018- 2022, and Epicure Investment Management, from 2019- 2022. Currently, he is a board member representing Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat), since 2022.
In addition to being a board member Shiekh Hamad was a Chairman of the Audit Committee in Al Jazeera Finance, in which his key responsibilities included corporate governance, strategy, internal audit and oversight and approval of transactions with PEPs. Further, he is currently a member of the Audit Committee for Mazaya Real Estate Development Company and a member of the Audit Risk & Compliance Committee at Milaha.
Sheikh Hamad assumed the role of Board Member and CEO for Mazaya Real Estate Development Company in 2022, continuing to contribute to the company's leadership.
Yousef Baizan, a distinguished corporate executive and partner in a leading Big Four firm, has a global perspective, orchestrating high-value transactions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Demonstrating a results-driven mindset, he enhances companies’ profitability and performance. His transformative expertise was evident in leading a Jordanian bank’s Palestine operations and negotiating its participation in acquiring a major telecommunications license.
Yousef, a seasoned banker with comprehensive training, is recognized for his relationship management expertise. Holding a BA in Marketing and Finance from Yarmouk University (1982), he played a pivotal role in multimillion-dollar transactions, including the $1.0 billion Oman International Bank (OIB) and HSBC merger. He managed a fuel import facility for Zimbabwe's government and orchestrated the acquisition of the Palestine Telecommunication Company (Paltel) license.
A co-author of a paper on Middle East private equity, Yousef has hands-on experience advising large entities in Africa. He played a key role in establishing the private equity industry grouping at E&Y and PwC. Serving on the Board and as Chairman of the Audit Committee at Palestine Investment Bank since December 2014, and as a Board Member of Loita Holdings Corporation, Africa since May 2014, Yousef Baizan is a distinguished professional with a track record of success.
With over two decades of experience spanning global finance, private equity, and real estate in North America, Europe, and the MENA region, Soufiane brings a wealth of expertise. He holds a Master of Science in Banking & Finance from HEC Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Graduate Certificate in Finance from McGill University. Currently at the helm of real estate investment in FEB, Soufiane's track record includes steering the real estate investments department at the First Investor, where he structured, originated, and managed global real estate funds.
His diverse career features key roles such as Director of the private equity department at Capital Management House and leadership positions at Gulf Finance House, KAMCO, and Jones Lang LaSalle Dubai. Soufiane’s advisory prowess extends to projects totalling USD 50 billion, and he played a pivotal role in originating major real estate projects like the Tunis Financial Harbour.
Soufiane held key roles in real estate investment and advisory at First Energy Bank in Bahrain and was The First Investor in Barwa Bank Group for six years. His extensive background includes positions at Arab Banking Corporation, African Development Bank Group, Citibank, Desjardins Trust in Montreal, and Vinci Group in Paris, focusing on hotel and real estate investments in Europe and the Middle East.
